Here’s what you should know and prepare for before visiting New Zealand during the current Covid-19 outbreak.
General information
At an early stage, New Zealand served as an example of how to handle the Covid-19 pandemic. As a result of its immediate quarantine and stringent border controls, it was able to contain the outbreak to an unprecedented degree.
Its zero-Covid policy made it one of the world’s most isolated countries. However, as the government shifted to a new approach emphasizing vaccination efforts and adjusting to life with the virus, this began to change.
The country officially welcomed tourists worldwide on July 31 when it opened its air and marine borders.
Why you should go
The scenery of New Zealand is so breathtaking that it has inspired several tales. Arthur’s Pass National Park is perfect for “tramping,” the local slang for a lengthy hike, thanks to its combination of towering peaks and deep valleys.
North Island’s tip, Cape Reinga, and its adjacent Ninety Mile Beach are home to breathtaking ocean panoramas. In the meantime, Maori tradition is deeply ingrained in every area of life there.
When you rent an RV and drive across this beautiful area, you won’t have any trouble finding a quiet spot for yourself.
