The winners of Tripadvisor‘s yearly Travelers’ Choice® Awards for Hotels were just announced. This latest community-driven ranking unveils the world’s most beloved hotels. It follows the early 2022 announcements of the Best of the Best Destinations and Beaches. Suppose you are currently in the process of organizing a summer or winter getaway. In that case, you need to look no further for recommendations on where to stay.
These accolades are based on ratings and reviews given by TripAdvisor users in 2021. People nonetheless took trips worldwide, participating in the post-pandemic travel renaissance made possible by widespread vaccination. People made vacationing a priority, whether that meant repeatedly visiting their go-to, tried-and-true hotel or venturing to exotic, out-of-the-way locations.
Hotels that receive the most positive reviews from tourists are honored annually. Although there are millions of listings on Tripadvisor, only the top-rated ones (less than 1 percent) receive the Best of the Best badge.
Three new categories—”Out of the Ordinary Hotels,” “Hotels on the Water,” and “Mountain Resorts & Lodges”—have been added to this year’s awards, bringing the total number of lodging categories to 11. We’ve broken down hotels into categories based on criteria, including the type of lodging, proximity to popular attractions, and even how long the current building has been in operation.
