Importing Coinbase Wallet to MetaMask
Launch the Coinbase Wallet app on your device and navigate to the Settings option:
Tap the Recovery Phrase option:
Write down your 12-word recovery phrase in the correct order.
Launch the MetaMask app on your phone, and select Import using Secret Recovery Phrase. Input your recovery phrase, then make a password and verify it:
After entering the recovery phrase and defining a new password, your Coinbase wallet will be imported into your MetaMask wallet.
Moving Your Cryptocurrencies from Coinbase to MetaMask
When you’re ready to transfer resources from your Coinbase Wallet to your MetaMask wallet, just choose Send:
To send ETH (or any other cryptocurrency), follow these steps:
- Select the token you wish to send.
- Enter the desired amount.
- Click the Next button.
When you’re ready to paste the recipient’s address, launch MetaMask and make sure the Ethereum network is selected.
Check that your receiver MetaMask wallet is also on the Ethereum network, then click the Receive button, copy the ETH address, and paste it into the recipient field in Coinbase Wallet. Finally, tap the Send button.
That’s it! You’ve successfully managed to send assets from your Coinbase to your MetaMask wallets. Please note that the transaction isn’t instant and takes time to arrive.
